Police arrested a 16-year-old in connection with a stabbing at Dover High School Monday. The teen was charged with stabbing a classmate in the schools bathroom early.

According to police, the 17-year-old victim, whose name is not being released, was inside a school bathroom when he was stabbed in the abdomen. He is in stable condition at Morristown Memorial Hospital.

Students say once word of the stabbing spread, they were told to activate Code C, an emergency lockdown. Police say the school was locked down for a short period of time while they investigated the halls and classrooms.
