Teachers in Irvington picket state Board of Education

Teachers in Irvington picketed the state Board of Education and have filed a suit because they say the board is blocking a new contract agreement.

The new contract agreement was made in September. After agreeing to and ratifying the new contract with the board, the state has frozen the funds and stopped the process. Right now every teacher is working on last years salary.

Teachers say they will take their protest to Trenton on Monday to express their displeasure to the legislature.
