NJ residents looking to stay healthy this season enter flu shot lottery in Hamilton

(10/23/04) HAMILTON - Flu shot lottery fever is sweeping across the Garden State.

In the hopes of staying healthy this season, many New Jersey residents lined up in Mercer County at the senior center in Hamilton for a chance to win the influenza vaccine.

The town ordered 5,500 doses but only got 1,000. As of Saturday, about 970 people have entered the lottery, which continues through Thursday. There are an estimated 15,000 senior citizens in Hamilton.
