Pro and anti-war demonstrations take place simultaneously in Tinton Falls
(10/23/04) TINTON FALLS - In Tinton Falls on Saturday, war protesters both for and against the War on Terror gathered outside of a Fort Monmouth entrance located at the intersection of Main Street and Tinton Avenue.
Residents on both sides of the war in Iraq took to their separate sides of the street. On one corner across from Fort Monmouth, pro-war supporters held signs. And just across, other protestors denounced the war effort.
A little further down, 55 crosses were posted with pictures of U.S. war casualties who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq.
