Democratic NY Senator Hillary Clinton stumps in Garden State for John Kerry

(10/31/04) ORANGE - As the presidential campaigns come to a close, the Democrats made one more stop in New Jersey Sunday in hopes securing the state's 15 electoral votes for John Kerry.

Senator Hillary Clinton (D-New York) hit Newark and Orange to rallying for New Jersey's minority vote. At Saint Matthews A.M.E. Church in Orange, the senator told the congregation that the country was heading in the wrong direction under Bush. She also attacked the president's handling of the war on terror, using the latest Osama bin Laden video to drive her message home.

Meanwhile, Republicans have not given up on the swing state of New Jersey either. President Bush's twin daughters Barbara and Jenna swung through the state Saturday, making stops at three towns speaking on behalf of their dad.
