Colonia H.S. soccer players accused of assaulting teammates arraigned
(11/12/04) COLONIA - Five Colonia High School soccer players were arraigned Friday on criminal charges stemming from a possible prank.
According to police, five seniors attacked two 16-year-old boys while they were getting dressed before a game against New Brunswick. Investigators say the victims were held down, restrained and forcibly exposed and touched below the waist.
One of the players charged, 18-year-old Sharyar Shroff, was released on $25,000 bail. He is charged with assault and criminal restraint. The other four teens were placed under house arrest and released to their parents.
