McGreevey set to officially resign from Governor?s office Monday at midnight

Governor McGreevey is set to officially resign his office Monday at midnight.

The legacy McGreevey will leave behind is a far from what he hoped for when he stepped into office almost three years ago. Shortly after he was sworn into office the scandals began with the suspicious hiring of Golan Cipel as Homeland Security Director, a $110,000 job in which Cipel had no experience. His administration has also been at the center of at least four criminal investigations.

Despite the scandals, McGreevey had a few good key policies while in office. He may be best known for fixing E-Z Pass, signing off the needle exchange program in the state, and reforming the states Division of Youth and Family services.
