Mount Arlington train station will let commuters swap roads for rails

(12/09/04) MOUNT ARLINGTON Many commuters in western Morris County are thrilled about New Jersey Transits announcement of a new Mount Arlington train station.

Commuters who head to New York City on a daily basis say the traffic has gotten steadily worse as the areas population has grown. Many travelers say Route 80 is brutal during the morning and evening rush hours.

New Jersey Transit will build the station at the Mount Arlington park and ride. The construction is set to begin in 2006, and the stations planned opening is slated for 2007.
