Pilot error, aircraft control blamed for strafing of Little Egg harbor school

After a month-long investigation the New Jersey National Guard is explaining how an F-16 fighter jet fired ammunition through the roof of a Little Egg Harbor elementary school. According to the National Guard's report, the pilot accidentally fired 25 rounds at the school on November 3. The military says pilot error contributed to the accident but the National Guard is also blaming poorly designed aircraft controls inside the F-16. The military is not releasing the pilot's name and according to the report the commander of the 113th fighter wing will decide if that pilot will face disciplinary action.
