Wintry weather, drop in temperature create slick conditions on NJ roads

The wintry weather and drop in temperature Sunday night created slick conditions on New Jersey roads.

The NJ Turnpike Authority has salt trucks and plows standing by to clear the roads before the Monday morning commute. At the first sign of snow or ice plow drivers will begin to salt the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway.

The wet roads slowed down traffic but many drivers didnt seem to mind. However, most drivers say they will get off the roads once the snow begins to fall.

Meanwhile, the Port Authority reported delays at Newark Liberty Airport Sunday night. Airport crews worked overtime to keep the runways clear.
