S. Orange firefighters hope Santa has a firehouse in his bag for them

For the third straight Christmas, the duty crew at the S. Orange firehouse will mark the holiday in what was supposed to be temporary quarters behind the firehouse.

Half the firehouse has been torn down to the wood studs, as a seemingly never-ending asbestos abatement project has dragged on. The village says its just run out of money to finish the project this year.

Firefighters say the public is at risk, because it adds up to a minute to response time for them to run from the trailers to the their fire trucks.
