In Mercer County, some nursing home residents made it home for Christmas

Call it a Christmas miracle, or at least a nice surprise. Residents of the Water Gate Nursing Home in Mercer County got to go home for Christmas.

With volunteer help from Capital Health EMTs, people who would normally not get out of the nursing home, got to go to be with their family for Christmas.

It's the first time the EMTs took part in the "I'll be home for Christmas" program. Through their work, nursing home patients were taken to Trenton, Ewing and into Yardley, PA.
