Winter weather causing havoc for travelers at Newark Airport

The winter weather across the country, crowding and lost luggage were just some of the problems creating havoc Monday for travelers trying to leave from or return home to Newark.

Many of the delays and crowding at the airport began last week as the product of storms in the Midwest coupled with a computer glitch. The glitch left many passengers stranded without their suitcases.

Airline officials say travelers should arrive early to airports. Airline officials also say passengers should remain patient during the next couple of days due to the increased volume of people flying for the holidays.
