Power outage causes campus closure at Bergen Community College

(01/14/05) PARAMUS ? Many students at Bergen Community College in Paramus found themselves on the outside looking in after a power outage closed the campus for the day.

Students hoping to finish registration or take placement testing will now have to wait until sometime next week. College administrators say a wire short at a nearby mini-substation caused the outage. Repair crews had a difficult time working on the problem due to the inclement weather.

Bergen Community College officials say the day?s bad weather had nothing to do with the substation short.
