The Parsippany Board of Education is considering cutting courtesy busing as part of an effort to save money on school busing. Courtesy buses are transportation that is offered to students who live less than two miles from the schools.
The district buses approximately 5,000 students. District officials say half of those buses are courtesy buses. The Parsippany School District spends at least $5 million a year on busing.
