Acting Governor Codey declares state of emergency for New Jersey
Acting Governor Dick Codey has issued a State of Emergency for New Jersey.
The state of emergency calls for all private vehicles to stay off the roads until at least 8 a.m. Sunday morning. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority has reported white out conditions and a high volume of accidents on highways.
Transportation officials have more than 500 trucks plowing and says when the snow ends New Jersey can expect to see blacktop. Plow truck drivers will be working through the night to get the job done.
