Police say serial purse-snatcher is on the loose in Morristown

With a purse-snatcher on the loose, police are urging Morristown residents to be extra cautious.

According to police, three women have had their purses stolen since January. Police add that all of the robberies occurred near Cattano Avenue.

Police say the first robbery happened last month when a 48-year-old woman?s purse was snatched in a parking lot. They say a few days later a 72-year-old woman had her purse stolen.

Cops say the latest incident was on Saturday when a 51-year-old woman left work and was struck in the head with an object and had her purse taken. The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
