Grand jury indicts man suspected of murdering Brick teen

(02/09/05) TOMS RIVER ? Prosecutors in Ocean County say the man accused of killing 16-year-old Brittney Gregory over the summer has been indicted by a grand jury on a single count of murder.

Investigators say ex-convict Jack Fuller killed Gregory in July and buried her in Lakewood, just two miles from her home in Brick. Authorities eventually found Gregory?s body after a 17-day search. According to police, Fuller was a friend of the Gregory family.

Despite the indictment, Fuller will not face the death penalty. Prosecutors say the case is not capital because it doesn?t meet certain criteria. Fuller can be sentenced to 30 years to life if found guilty.
