Garfield firefighters are mourning the death of 46-year-old Angelo Petta who died in the line of duty.

Officials say Petta was evacuating residents from a house with a natural gas leak. He was talking with firefighters and cops when he came out of the house, and just dropped to the ground. Officials believe he suffered a heart attack

His fire house buddies say Petta was a fun-loving guy who liked to joke around. He leaves behind a wife and two children.
