New Jersey Haz-Mat teams need to be prepared to confront dangerous situations

New Jersey?s Hazardous Materials response team is always training to be able to respond to hazardous situation.

Different scenarios are designed to give technical training to the Haz-Mat teams of New Jersey. State police give a lot of attention to details when creating a scenario. When it?s time for a Haz-Mat team to respond they suit up, check for dangerous substances and booby traps and then pull the victim to safety.

The State police will evaluate how the teams did and address the areas where they showed good skills and utilized their training. If there's any room for improvement, a training session is held for teams to improve themselves.
