Woman's death at Totowa water treatment plant ruled a homicide

Passaic County law enforcement officials confirmed Monday that the woman found dead at the water treatment plant in Totowa was killed.

The body of 43-year-old Geetha Angara was found last Wednesday at the bottom of a 30-foot water tank. The medical examiner, along with the staff at the regional medical examiner?s office, has determined Angara?s death was a homicide. The Passaic County prosecutor believes Angara was most likely murdered by a co-worker at the plant.

Meanwhile, security at the plant has been increased. Police officers will continue to patrol both inside and outside of the plant. The water commission says workers at the plant are still grieving, but they will be partnered together as an additional security precaution.
