Trenton police say they are trying to catch a very active burglar

Police in Trenton are looking for a very active burglar after four burglaries occurred this past weekend.

Investigators say burglars hit Lamberton Street in Trenton twice last Sunday. Police also reported break-ins at Sacred Heart Church on South Broad Street and another on Hamilton Avenue. According to police, there have been as many as 40 separate burglaries over the past couple of months in Mercer and Burlington counties.

Trenton police are offering to send a detective to residents? homes to survey houses and make sure they are secure. For Trenton residents to receive a security survey call 989-3971.
