Morristown apartment dwellers say they are getting the boot over parking spaces

Morristown residents living in apartment buildings are fed up over being charged outlandish amounts of money to park near their apartments.

One Morristown tenant says her landlord tried to evict her because she didn?t pay her parking fee. Some residents pay upwards of $300 a month for parking. Landlords say they need to charge more to keep up with their rising taxes and bills.

The town council is scheduled to vote Tuesday night on a law that would limit how much landlords can charge tenants for a parking space. If the law passes, landlords wouldn?t be able to charge more than $50 for outdoor spaces and more than $90 for an indoor space.
