Residents shocked and outraged over New Jersey corruption arrests

(02/22/05) HAZLET ? Residents in several New Jersey communities say they are upset and disappointed that 11 local officials were arrested in a federal corruption sting Tuesday.

Residents that live in communities in which the individuals were involved say public officials should know better than to take bribes. Upon hearing news of the arrests, many people said the line between right and wrong in this case is very well defined.

In addition, many residents agree that the latest federal sting is just the beginning of what could be a long line of corruption-related arrests.
