Bound Brook police chief indicted for job-related misconduct
(02/23/05) BOUND BROOK ? Bound Brook Police Chief Kenneth Henderson was indicted on 17 criminal counts Wednesday after being accused of job-related misconduct.
Prosecutors say during his tenure as chief, Henderson stole money from the department, had an on-duty police officer decorate his lawn for Christmas and tipped off a local restaurant owner about a pending investigation. In addition, investigators say Henderson failed to take suspects and evidence into custody during a raid on an apartment.
Henderson has been the Bound Brook police chief for the past seven years. He has been suspended without pay and is free on bond.
