Police in Dover accuse man of using his business as a phony ID front

(03/01/05) DOVER ? Police in Dover arrested the owner of a health food shop Tuesday and accused him of using his business as a front for a lucrative fake ID operation.

According to police, Carlos Monje was selling fake green cards and social security cards for hundreds of dollars per item. Investigators say they found the computers, printers and cameras Monje may have used to make the documents at his business, Rama Health Foods on Route 46.

Police officials say there is no evidence connecting Monje to terrorists. They believe he may have sold the phony documents to illegal immigrants.
