One man dead, another wounded in shootout in Trenton

Police say a man was killed and another wounded in a shootout that occurred at the intersection of Calhoun Streets and Ingham Avenue in Trenton Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, an altercation broke out at a gas station on Calhoun Street. Police say the incident then moved to Nick?s Auto Glass where more shots were fired. Police found a white car occupied by the two men who were shot. They are searching the vehicle and collecting shell casings from the two locations.

The deceased man has been identified as 23-year-old Amos Gaines of Trenton. Police are still trying to piece together the events of the shooting.
