Holy Cross principal fired over embezzlement accusations in Rumson

(03/03/05) RUMSON ? Diocese of Trenton officials announced the firing of the Holy Cross principal Thursday for allegedly embezzling school funds.

According to representatives of the diocese, Principal Thomas Bugliaro used school money to pay off his personal credit cards. Diocese officials did not reveal how much money Bugliaro is accused of taking.

Bugliaro?s firing is the second financial scandal to hit the school within the past year. In November, Reverend Joseph Hughes resigned from Holy Cross after being charged with embezzling approximately $500,000.

So far, no charges have been filed against Bugliaro.
