Board of education decides to keep courtesy busing in Montville

Many parents in Montville can rest easy now that the board of education has decided to keep courtesy busing.

Courtesy busing is a service for students who live closer to the school than the state limits for mandatory busing. Many parents were worried that their children would have to walk to school if there were no buses. They were also concerned because many of the sidewalks are in poor shape.

The board of education voted to keep the service in the proposed budget for the next school year. The school board says it will cost $750,000 to keep the service.
