NJ Transit asks commuters to be vigilant about safety, introduces tip line

NJ Transit and state police were handing out information sheets at the Hoboken terminal Wednesday, reminding commuters to be vigilant when it comes to safety. The officers asked commuters to report any suspicious activity they may see in the terminal or anywhere in the state. They were also informed about a new tip line provided by NJ Transit. The tip line allows people to call in and leave an anonymous message if they see anything suspicious. As soon as the caller hangs up an officer follows up on the tip.The tip line number is 1-888-TIPS-NJT.
