Smoking ban bill signed into law in New Jersey

Govenor Richard Codey signed the Smoke-Free Air Act into law on Sunday.
New Jersey is the tenth state to pass a law outlawing smoking in all indoor public spaces, such as bars, restaurants and bowling alleys. Casino floors are exempt. Many business owners are upset and fear that this will negatively impact their business.
New Jersey residents say they are divided over the statewide ban. Non-smokers say they are pleased to patronize smoke-free bars but some smokers say they are not looking forward to stepping outside for a light. Still, the ban doesn?t go into effect until April, giving everyone time to get used to the new rule.
