More than 700 Upper Ringwood residents suing Ford over toxic waste
Former and current Upper Ringwood residents are suing the Ford Motor Company after the say the company dumped toxic waste in the area and never cleaned it up.Lawyers for the more than 700 residents held a conference Thursday at one of the sites on Peters Mine Road. They say the company was supposed to clean up the site about 12 years ago but never did. Now, residents say they want to be compensated for damages, including medical complications. A Ford representative says the company can't comment on the specific case, but the automaker is committed to cleaning up the area.
