Trenton residents say police are overmatched in fight against gangs

was told by a police officer not to stand outside for too long due to the spike in violence.

Some residents say the police force doesn?t have the money or manpower to combat gang violence in the city. In addition, some claim the police officers themselves are too scared to confront the gang problem on the streets. Trenton Mayor Doug Palmer says the police department will be given whatever they need to combat the problem effectively.
