Police have arrested a Mahwah man and accused him of attempting to lure two young girls into his car Tuesday morning.

Investigators say 60-year-old Arnold Stark attempted to lure a 9-year-old and an 11-year-old into his Chevy Cavalier while the girls were waiting for their school bus. According to police, the two girls ran to their homes to tell their parents. Authorities say another woman saw the entire incident unfold and called police.

Police say they caught up with Stark as he pulled up to his condo, located in the same complex as the home of the girls he had approached. Police say they found a roll of tape in the car. Stark is being held at a medical facility on $200,000 bail.
