West Orange police sergeant suspended for standup act
? A West Orange police sergeant is suspended without pay for his comedy act, which his bosses say is offensive and unbecoming of a law enforcement official.
Sergeant John Feder?s superiors received anonymous tapes of Feder?s act, in which he goes by the name Club Soda Kenny. On one tape, the sergeant takes a bus full of homeless people to a mall for a radio stunt. Feder has been a guest on the Opie and Anthony radio show as well as performing in clubs.
Feder, who joined the force in 1984, could be fired and lose his pension depending on the outcome of an internal police investigation. The sergeant did not want to comment to News 12 New Jersey about the inquiry.
