Murder of Hoboken teen sparks outrage among family members
(02/20/06) HOBOKEN ? Family members attended the wake of a slain Hoboken teen Monday and vented their frustration over the circumstances surrounding his death.
Eighteen-year-old Ismar Minero was gunned down last Friday in what authorities believe was a dispute between two groups. His accused killer, Antonio Rivera, was out on bail for an attempted murder charge when the incident took place. Minero?s family can?t understand how someone accused of attempted murder could be allowed to walk the streets and possibly commit a murder.
Minero?s family members say the teen was killed on the orders of a gang leader, who?s still on the loose. When speaking about Minero?s murder, the Hudson County prosecutor would not use the term ?gang.? The prosecutor did not say another person ordered the murder.
