Homesick feelings strike relocated Katrina victims in New Jersey

(02/21/06) PERTH AMBOY ? Hurricane Katrina victims who relocated to New Jersey are looking at this year?s Mardi Gras celebration with pangs of homesickness.
Some of the victims who moved into Delaney Homes in Perth Amboy have decided to remain at the facility a while longer. One of those individuals, Willmer Segue, is handicapped. Segue says he?s staying in New Jersey because he can receive better medical treatment in the Garden State than he could back home.
Those living in the Delaney Homes say they are grateful for everything New Jersey has done for them. However, they also say their hearts are longing to be back home during this time of year. The 33 families left in the Delaney Homes will be allowed to remain at the facility until the end of the summer.
