Three-alarm fire tears through home in Jersey City

(02/22/06) JERSEY CITY ? Firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire that broke out inside a multi-family home on Randolph Avenue in Jersey City Wednesday.
Firefighters say the flames rose so high they ended up striking homes on the opposite side of the street. Those on the scene say no one was home at the time of the incident. Firefighters believe the flames broke out on the second floor of the structure.
Three firefighters were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion. The owner of the home says he has no idea how the fire started.
