Posted: Updated:

A Metuchen man was busted when police raided his home Wednesday and allegedly found a stash of illegal weapons.

Detectives say they received a tip that John Terzino had guns, knives and ammunition at his Main Street home. State and local police confiscated boxes of assault weapons, including body armor piercing ammunition.

Terzino is being held by police. He will be formally charged after police take an inventory of all of the confiscated weapons.
