Authorities have charged a 19-year-old man with having sex with the Jersey City teen who went missing earlier in the week.

Police say Sebastian Osario befriended 13-year-old Natasha Browne at a mall. Bergen County prosecutors are handling Osario's case because that is where the alleged sexual contact took place.

However, authorities say Osario's arrest is not related to Browne's claim that she had been raped by two men in New York. Earlier in the week, Browne sent her mother text messages that she was being held and abused by captors. Browne contacted police Thursday in New York and was taken to a hospital for examination. She is now home with her parents. Police are still investigating the teen's claims.
