Police release photo, name in case of slain Newark mother

Police have released the name and photograph of a man Friday who they want to question about the shooting death of a Newark woman.

Police believe 22-year-old Travis Burris may have information about Linda Carmichael?s death. Authorities say Carmichael was gunned down on South 19th Street while walking home with her children Thursday. Her 13-year-old son was shot in the hand and her 18-year-old son Darnell was uninjured. Darnell told police he was the target of the shooting, not his mother. Burris is also wanted for questioning in another shooting on the same street on Wednesday.

The victim?s neighbors are trying to make sense of the fatal shooting. They remember Carmichael as a funny and devoted mother of six.
