Police believe five shootings in Trenton are gang related
Police say the five recent shootings in Trenton appear to be gang related.
According to police, violence broke out when a rivalry between two factions of the Bloods gang erupted. Six people were wounded in the outbreak of shootings. Authorities say two of the victims are gang members and two are suspected gang members. Police also say two victims are believed to be innocent bystanders.
In one of the shootings, a teacher?s union representative was shot when she was caught in the crossfire near Patton J. Hill School. The elementary school on East State Street was on lockdown after the shooting Thursday. There is no word on the condition of the union representative.
