The Ocean County prosecutors office confirmed Monday that a 20-year-old Orthodox Jewish woman was abducted and sexually assaulted overnight.

According to police, on Sunday the woman worked out at Trim Gym located off Route 9 and Kennedy Boulevard in Lakewood and disappeared around 8:45 p.m. Police began to investigate the woman's disappearance as a missing persons case when she returned to the gym at 5:30 Monday morning. After police spoke with the woman, they determined she was sexually assaulted.

The woman was taken to the hospital and is said to be doing OK. Police are now looking for a green or black Jeep Cherokee. They also want to know how the victim was taken and returned to the gym.
