? A Newark mother spent Mother?s Day preparing to bury her son who was gunned down in a drive-by shooting last Tuesday.

Friends Kelvin Kelley and Hassan Ferguson, both 16, will be laid to rest Monday and Tuesday. Betty Ferguson says while the holiday is sad now that she only has four sons, she has found solace in the fact that two suspects are in custody. One of Hassan Ferguson?s brothers plans to read a poem at his funeral highlighting the violence on Newark streets. The community is calling on Mayor-elect Cory Booker to keep schools and the city safe.

DeShaun McIntyre, 20, and a 16-year-old have been charged in the case. Police believe the teen fired the fatal shots while McIntyre drove.
