(05/16/06) PERTH AMBOY ? Democratic 13 District Congressional candidate Joe Vas has some strong words for his opponent as the state primary nears.

Vas says the Congressional race is all about the issues. In that respect, Vas claims he has the political upper hand over opponent Albio Sires (D). According to Vas, Sires is the type of politicians that hopes to avoid accountability when it comes to important issues.

Vas also says Sires will not agree to a debate. In addition, the candidate believes Sires is a puppet of the Hudson County Democratic bosses. Vas? platform includes an immediate troop pullout from Iraq and more federal funding for health care, education and housing. The primary will be held June 6.
