Livingston family lucks out after unlucky lightening strike

(06/02/06) LIVINGSTON ? A Livingston family escaped harm and extreme home damage after lightening struck their Badger Drive house Thursday night.

The bolt struck one section of the Doring home, sparking a fire. No one was home at the time of the incident, but one family member pulled up to his house in time to see smoke billowing from the outside. He quickly called 911 for help.

Despite the smoke and flames, the damage was confined to one section of the home?s dining room. The Doring?s will move out temporarily while the damage is repaired. Two years ago, the house next door to the Doring?s was also struck by lightening.
