The shooting took place on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard Monday and claimed the life of a 20-year-old man. The deceased individual was shot in the head. Eleven-year-old Jabril Henderson says he heard the gunshots while getting off the bus, and quickly got back on. Henderson thought he had escaped unscathed until he noticed blood on his sock.
Fortunately, the bullet only grazed Henderson?s foot. Although he is lucky, the young victim and his mother are asking gang members in the area to stop hurting the neighborhood?s children. Police say they have descriptions of two vehicles possibly involved in the shootout. A $3,000 reward is being offered for information leading to any arrests.
