Seaside Heights looks to volleyball tournament for major business boost

(06/29/06) SEASIDE HEIGHTS ? Business owners in Seaside Heights hope the AVP Beach Volleyball tournament scores big bucks for their bottom lines.

The tournament is stopping in Seaside Heights for the first time since 1995. Vendors couldn?t be happier with the timing, as the event runs right into the Fourth of July weekend. Business owners say the regular Fourth of July crowd, along with tournament attendees, will lead to a phenomenal financial weekend.

Residents hope the volleyball players put on a good show for attendees, but they also hope Seaside Heights puts on a good show for AVP officials. People in the area hope Seaside Heights becomes a regular stop on the tour.
