Pilot killed in plane crash at his East Amwell property

A retired airline pilot was killed when his private plane crashed during take off in East Amwell Sunday.

Emergency workers found 63-year-old Terry Harrison dead when they arrived at his property on Workville Road about 11 a.m. Witnesses say the engine may have stalled, causing the plane to fall to the ground. Authorities are investigating the official cause of the accident.

Neighbors and friends are mourning Harrison. They say he was an experienced pilot and wonderful person.
