Howell teacher uses Web to widen appreciation for vets

A science teacher from Howell is using her passion for history and pride in her father?s service in WWII to honor veterans.Cherie Reid says she was inspired to start the Kids Thank a Veteran Web site after her father passed away. Reid wants the site, which features facts about wars, memorials and more, to be used in classrooms as an educational tool.

Schools in three states will add Kids Thank a Vet to their fall curriculums.
